Domestic and outbound tourist trips in the first half of 2006
1. Number of trips
In the first half of 2006 polish residents took 14.25 mill domestic tourist trips, of which 5.1 mill were long trips (4 nights of longer), and 9.15 mill – short breaks. The number of long trips grew by 19%, while short breaks decreased. In sum, total number of domestic trips went up by 3%, compared to the same period of 2005.
Number of outbound tourist trips rose by 20%: to 2,65 mill. Most visited countries were: Germany, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Austria and Italy.
